In Santa Clara Valley, 111-Year-Old Vines Lie Just Beyond the Outlet Malls

Wine Enthusiast

Having gone through two World Wars, two pandemics, babies born, lives lost, Matt Kettman captures the essence of the the 111 year old Grenache vineyard in this Wine Enthusiast article.

Harvest 2020: A Tale of Two Cities takes a closer look on the impact the California fires had on Santa Clara wineries, including BFV.

It's true, great wine starts in the vineyard.  Mary Orlin captures the essence of vine to wine in her article on Besson's 110 year old Grenache.

Outstanding in the Field set the wheels in motion for BFV.  Partnered with Birchino Winery out of Santa Cruz, Restaurant 1833 in Monterey, and set in the lush Besson Family Vineyards on a warm June evening, guests enjoyed a six course meal, pairing every dish with wine. Every detail aligned  perfectly providing an evening that attendees will never forget.

How one sommelier found Birchino Besson Family Grenache made by Ian Brand, Winemaker of the Year, 2018, SF Chronicle and felt so compelled to write about it in

Food and Wine Magazine.
